The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Serum is a daily treatment for blemishes and Acne-prone skin.
Salicylic Acid also known as VHA is great for closed comedones as it cuts through oil to exfoliate deep in the pore unclogging all the dead skin cells and dirt. It’s a great product if the skin is oily.
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution clears and clarifies the complexion. You should use it directly over blemishes only, this strong acid visibly reduces redness and inflammation by targeting congested pores.
Tip – Don’t mix it with other exfoliating acids or with Retinoids or pure Vitamin C. Don’t layer it with anything else unless you know your skin can handle it
This facial serum is 2% Salicylic acid and the remaining 98% consists of two ingredients Ssaccharide Isomerate and Cocomidopropyl Dimethylamine. Saccharide isomerate improves hydration and water retention in the outer layers of your skin.

If your skin is over-sensitive, dry irritated, or damaged then don’t use it directly. Instead, moisturize your skin perfectly then use it. We highly recommend that you consult your dermatologist before using Salicylic Acid.
It’s a bit sticky and creates soapy foam when you apply too much. The texture is somewhat similar to Hyaluronic Acid. If you are applying it for the first time then first Patch test it and use a bit of serum around 2 to 3 drops on your whole face. This is only recommended if you have spot-prone skin.
If you want to treat a specific area, for example, a breakout or your nose to counteract blackheads then use particularly on that area.
The recommended time to use The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% is in the Evening or at Night.
